What To Expect

At Hemet Animal Hospital, we have put together a veterinary health care team that is committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary medicine. We strive to provide your pet(s) with the same comprehensive health care that we would want for our own pets. We promise to provide you with all of the medical options that are available to you. We will give you all of the information necessary to help you make the best decision for your pet. Our further commitment to you is offering outstanding service along with a progressive approach to preventative health care.

Your pet’s annual veterinary check up will include a complete physical exam with a thorough investigation of your pets body from head to tail. This includes external examination of your pet’s eyes, ears, teeth, oral cavity (if possible), skin, and hair coat. Internal examination includes auscultation (listening) of the heart and lungs, palpation of the abdominal cavity, and palpation of the external lymph nodes. Any other concerns mentioned to the Doctor will also be addressed at that time. Recommendations, with an emphasis on prevention, will be made based on the exam findings and history.

With prevention as one of our higher goals, we recommend an annual wellness package which includes a full blood panel, urinalysis, and fecal. Approximately 20% of the pets that we test have abnormal results with no obvious symptoms. This early knowledge can help us to prevent future problems and early disease intervention results in much better outcomes.

Our doctors and staff are compassionate and willing to explain all of the procedures that your pet is undergoing. It is important that both the owner(s) and the pet feel comfortable and at ease during each and every visit. We strive to provide this atmosphere and are receptive to any questions and/or suggestions that you may have.

Because pets are members of the family, we hope to become part of your extended family through compassionate care and trusting relationships.
